I appreciate any help translating Flubaroo into other languages! If you think you can help other teachers by translating it into your language, please follow the instructions below!
2. You'll want to make a copy of the entire language section for 'en-us, which is located between the lines "START ENGLISH" and "END ENGLISH", as shown below. It's several hundred lines long.
// START ENGLISH ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
"en-us": {
// Name to identify language in language selector
"FLB_LANG_IDENTIFIER": "English",
...
...
...
},
// END ENGLISH //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Here's a sample screenshot of what this will look like:
3. Create a new Google Doc, set the font to "Courier New".
4. Paste in what you copied.
5. Change all of the English text to your language. Use the comments to guide your translation.
Example:
// Name to identify language in language selector
"FLB_LANG_IDENTIFIER": "English",
// Grading option which identifies a student
"FLB_STR_GRADING_OPT_STUD_ID" : "Identifies Student",
// Grading option which tells Flubaroo to skip grading on a question
"FLB_STR_GRADING_OPT_SKIP_GRADING" : "Skip Grading",
// Grading option for 1 point
"FLB_STR_GRADING_OPT_1_PT" : "1 Point",
becomes:
// Name to identify language in language selector
"FLB_LANG_IDENTIFIER": "Español (Spanish)",
// Grading option which identifies a student
"FLB_STR_GRADING_OPT_STUD_ID" : "Identifica alumno",
// Grading option which tells Flubaroo to skip grading on a question
"FLB_STR_GRADING_OPT_SKIP_GRADING" : "No evaluar",
// Grading option for 1 point
"FLB_STR_GRADING_OPT_1_PT" : "1 Punto",
6. Once done, share the doc with dave@edcode.org, and also send me an email. I'll incorporate the changes into the next release.
